Pulse

Hi, reader. I wrote this in 2016 and it's now more than five years old. So it may be very out of date; the world, and I, have changed a lot since I wrote it! I'm keeping this up for historical archive purposes, but the me of today may 100% disagree with what I said then. I rarely edit posts after publishing them, but if I do, I usually leave a note in italics to mark the edit and the reason. If this post is particularly offensive or breaches someone's privacy, please contact me.

I am deeply grieving the Pulse massacre.

Alfred Soto: "Only When I'm Dancing Can I Feel This Free: Queer liberation, dreams, and self-discovery on the dance floor"

Sigrid Ellis: "The road to murder is paved with microaggressions"

Knit Me A Pony: "Home."

Creatrix Tiara: "urgh I've been heartsick the whole day." (MetaFilter comment) "As a queer person of Muslim background, the possibility of the Pulse nightclub shooting being used against ppl like me gives me anxiety." (Twitter thread)

Samra Habib: "Queer Muslims exist – and we are in mourning too"
