Hi, reader. I wrote this in 2004 and it's now more than five years old. So it may be very out of date; the world, and I, have changed a lot since I wrote it! I'm keeping this up for historical archive purposes, but the me of today may 100% disagree with what I said then. That's "Pardon me, I'm sorry" in Japanese. Probably the first phrases I learned here. Just back from Hiroshima, where I used them and felt them more strongly.
The typhoon cancelled my train and rerouted me so I didn't get to see some famous castle. But I am fine.
Leonard's grandfather Dalton has died. I grieve for him.
