Hi, reader. I wrote this in 2002 and it's now more than five years old. So it may be very out of date; the world, and I, have changed a lot since I wrote it! I'm keeping this up for historical archive purposes, but the me of today may 100% disagree with what I said then. I rarely edit posts after publishing them, but if I do, I usually leave a note in italics to mark the edit and the reason. The written portion of the Musicianship midterm ended a few minutes ago, and it frazzled me something awful. Oi. And I have three more tests waiting for me later this week. Is it still Monday?

On the upside, I had lunch with Steve "It's okay to be prescriptivist" Robertson, and I bought a flower. People in the OCF agree it's some sort of lily, but can't tell the exact type.

Update: People now think it's an orchid. It cost four bucks, so maybe.

Further Update: A few people are very sure it's a tigerlily. Again, perhaps.
