Hi, reader. I wrote this in 2002 and it's now more than five years old. So it may be very out of date; the world, and I, have changed a lot since I wrote it! I'm keeping this up for historical archive purposes, but the me of today may 100% disagree with what I said then. I rarely edit posts after publishing them, but if I do, I usually leave a note in italics to mark the edit and the reason. If this post is particularly offensive or breaches someone's privacy, please contact me.

So far the only items of furniture still in my house that will go to other people are the minibureau/table, the futon, the bed, and the white bookcase. (These things are going to such people as my sister and my mom and Leonard.) Tell me if you want any of the following:

  • A table lamp, about two feet high and eight inches in diameter, with a yellowish lampshade and painted flower designs on the side. Currently next to my bed.
  • One or both of two tall black lamps. Takes a 3-way 50-100-150-watt bulb. Six feet tall. I think they work.
  • A black leather wallet.
  • One or more of a few frisbee-type flying discs that I got at job fairs and the like. Good enough for a breezy day on a lawn somewhere.
  • Packing materials. Styrofoam, cardboard-y paper to cushion fragile things.
  • A cloth eyeglasses-case.
  • FOR SALE: Six-drawer ("vanity"?) bureau, two across and three deep, with a mirror. Bureau is four feet across, 16 inches deep, and 2 feet four inches tall (roughly). Mirror is 2 feet one inch by 3 feet two inches (plus legs that rest between the bureau and the wall). $70 or best offer.
  • FOR SALE: Helmet/pads/rollerblade set. Kiddie-size helmet, full set of knee, wrist, and elbow guards, and almost-new, tiny-bit-scraped-up in-line skates, size 8 1/2 (women's). I think the skates cost me $40 or $50, the helmet $15, and the pads $25 or $30, but I'll sell you the lot for $60.
I don't have much time and I have no moving equipment, so you'll have to come to me and haul stuff yourself. Or I can arrange to drop off free things on some street corner near my house.
