Hi, reader. I wrote this in 2002 and it's now more than five years old. So it may be very out of date; the world, and I, have changed a lot since I wrote it! I'm keeping this up for historical archive purposes, but the me of today may 100% disagree with what I said then. I rarely edit posts after publishing them, but if I do, I usually leave a note in italics to mark the edit and the reason. Last night, while talking with Leonard, I messed up some of the lyrics of the song "It's a Small World." He and I discussed the possibility of a parody and came up with a few lines. Here's the result:

In a world where one man defies them all
Well, it needs a hero and he hears the call
And he has but one chance
His name's Liberty Valance
It's a movie ad clich

Refrain: It's a movie ad clich
He's mad, someone's gonna pay
Do you feel lucky today?
It's a film clich
It's the NATO states and the Warsaw Pact
If they come in through Germany we have to act
He is our only hope
Too bad he's such a dope
It's a movie ad clich

(Refrain)
