I'm keeping this up for historical archive purposes, but the me of today may 100% disagree with what I said then. As of yesterday afternoon, I'm safely arrived. On the Fourth of July I got to experience lots of security trauma, since I got picked for a random second search at the gate in Oakland, and I arrived for my layover at LAX a bit after violence occurred at an El Al ticket counter on the other side of the airport (which is huge). I'll speak more about those tomorrow, I hope. My vacation is going pleasantly, and I'm in the running for two different acceptable jobs, which comforts me.
